Many American writers fear that standardized testing could be destroying our children. They might be right.

An interesting dinner conversation consideration:  To what effect does standardized testing influence people’s attitudes toward finding ‘the right answer?’  Is this a beneficial outlook to have moving forward?  Is there a right answer?  If so, then who decides?

  1. Studies show a definite drop in US children’s scores on creativity measures since the increase in standardized testing. We don’t need more data to see we’re creating new problems. And who wants a standardized child anyway?
